Dr. Park is the Research Director for Wharton People Analytics (WPA) at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is responsible for shaping and executing the research agenda in conjunction with faculty co-directors Adam Grant, Angela Duckworth, Cade Massey, and Matthew Bidwell and the WPA research team.
Prior to this role, Gloria spent almost a decade training performance and resilience with service members and their families, first as a member of the team delivering resilience training to the US Army under the direction of Dr. Karen Reivich, and then as a Master Resilience Trainer - Performance Expert (MRT-PE) in the National Capital Region with Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness (CSF2).
As the Senior Performance Psychology Scientist with the Human Performance Resource Center (HPRC), Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS) and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation in Bethesda, MD, Gloria worked extensively conducting research, developing educational materials for, and consulting with operational and tactical populations across the DOD and other government agencies.
Gloria is also the founder of Perform Positive, a firm dedicated to expanding the fields of performance and positive psychology through continuing education and mentorship opportunities, connecting practitioners with technology-enhanced learning platforms, and providing consulting services to individuals and organizations.
Gloria was a competitive figure skater for over 14 years. She has served as an Instructor or Assistant Instructor in the UPENN MAPP program almost every year since 2006.
In addition to sport and exercise psychology, GLoria focuses on performance psychology, organizational psychology, military psychology, tactical/operational psychology, and human performance optimization.
