Bio
Capella is a film and well-being producer committed to the creator’s relational experience. She coaches and consults with organizations to optimize performance through nurturing environments that enhance relationships. Her strengths include positive leadership, building trust, fostering creativity, stimulating engagement, and sharing best practices for managing and developing Generation Z.

Capella is an Assistant Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania and hosts the leadership podcast When Is Now. The podcast features candid conversations with thought leaders and creators who empower people to empower others.

Her films include Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey, a documentary about the 80s band Journey and their new lead singer, Arnel Pineda, whom the band members discovered on YouTube. Don’t Stop Believin’ premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and won audience awards at Traverse City Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, and New Hampshire Film Festivals. The film was selected for the American Film Showcase, a joint program of the Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs and the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. The film was released in theaters and broadcast on PBS on POV/Independent Lens Indies Showcase, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. It is currently in development for a scripted feature.

Other projects include; Lost In Woonsocket (SXSW, OWN’s Super Soul Sundays), Motherland (Sundance Special Jury Award, Spirit Award nominee, and 47th Berlinale Forum selection), Random 1 (A&E), Voices of the Sea (True/False, POV), I’M FINE (Thanks for Asking) (SXSW Special Jury Recognition, BETher), Abby’s Place (ESPN), A Bunch of Amateurs (Sheffield DocFest Audience Award, BFI), The Body Politic (Sheffield DocFest, PBS) and Balloon Man a film that documents the life of the first African-American master hot air balloon pilot (International Du Film Panafricain De Cannes and Film of the Year at the Rhode Island Black Film Festival).

Capella grew up in Detroit and attended Detroit Public Schools. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology and has a double master's from the University of Pennsylvania in Applied Positive Psychology and Organizational Dynamics.

Capella is a consultant, executive coach, and member of the Producers Guild of America and the International Coaching Federation (PCC). She is certified to administer and evaluate psychometric assessments and predictive indexes.
