Bio
As a resilience and well-being advisor and fraud prevention expert, I am passionate about helping organizations creat workplaces "where people want to stay, instead of wanting to leave"- workplaces that are Humane, Ethical, and Resilient. I enable individuals to thrive and live joyfully by learning to use the building blocks of resilience and by discovering and developing their personal character strengths.

At MAPP, I have acquired and have access to the tools of individual and organizational well-being and thriving. I am a great organizer, and love bringing diverse groups and individuals together to synergistically create a better whole. I also love connecting people with similar interests or projects.

My most significant professional accomplishments were the creation of “The Resilient Organization: Beyond Surviving the Thriving” webinar to help organizations and individuals better cope with the challenges ensuing from the Covid 19 pandemic, and being the primary Editor of Frank Abagnale’s Fraud Bulletin, used by the FBI and the Federal Reserve, for over 10 years.

My most significant academic accomplishments were helping to create the “Developing Civility and Connection” community enrichment program for the city of Midland, Michigan, and writing a 100+ page Capstone researching the significant overlap between religion/spirituality and positive psychology/well-being, including their connections with my own faith tradition.

My most significant personal accomplishments were raising three amazing daughters, serving as the Music Director for over 11 LDS congregations in the La Crescenta Valley, and organizing a multi-congregational Community Christmas Concert and Crèche Festival with local Mormon, Lutheran, and Catholic congregations which was attended by over 1400 people.

The Great Plan of Happiness: The Intersections of the Restored Gospel of Christ and Positive Psychology

https://repository.upenn.edu/entities/publication/d17649a0-0939-411f-8d7b-ee968033bc9b

Happiness has been the Holy Grail sought by most of humanity for millennia. What it is and how to find it has been discussed and debated since the earliest records of humankind, and has been the object of countless studies by scholars the world over, including those in the field of positive psychology. Several empirically-based theories of happiness and well-being have emerged, and there is much commonality between them. It is proposed here that religion and spirituality are primary sources of happiness and well-being, and that there is much overlap between these sources and the research and practices emerging within the field of positive psychology. One religion in particular, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), shows many broad intersections with positive psychology research and the interventions which contribute to well-being. Examining these intersections may deepen the appreciation LDS adherents feel toward their membership and more fully inform their level of participation. In addition, there are many interventions found within positive psychology which, if learned and applied, may increase the happiness and well-being of members of the LDS Church, and the public at large.
